New Preschool Initiatives

As announced in the Budget Debate on 4 Mar 08, the Government will introduce two new measures to further improve the quality of pre-school education.
1. MOE will raise the minimum academic qualifications of pre-school teachers from the current 3 'O' levels to 5 'O' levels.
2. From 2011, a voluntary quality assurance and accreditation framework for pre-schools will be introduced from 2011.
